Editor's Verdict:

What we first notice about EstablishedMen.com when we arrive at the welcome page is the sleek style.  The welcome page's content is simple.  There's an animated photo gallery display with 12 changing images (presumably current members).  The photos themselves are of the highest quality,  very varied and appear to be professionally shot. 

Trying a quick search, we're directed to a page where some of our stats are entered and we get to trim the search parameters somewhat. Let's see what this turns up.  Although we entered a city and age parameters, we were greeted with 600 plus members' listings covering the state (Florida), with ages beyond the scope of our entered range.  An ethnically diverse display of very photogenic members  (maybe they cater to a largely 'model' female membership), resulted. 

Along with the members' listings, we're given options for refining the search by distance, age, body type, hair and eye color, ethnicity and more.  Additional filtering is available after the search completes, thus allowing a narrowing if desired.  This is a very well considered approach and one we were happy to see.  The ability to adjust a completed search without having to re-enter all the parameters but instead, just apply a single tweak from an additional filter is a wonderful convenience for a member and a competitive advantage for  the site.

Clicking anywhere on a member's listing, pulls up the member's profile layout.  An enlarged photo with up to four companion photos are here.  Clicking on any photo enlarges it.  There's a trio of tabs available to open  labeled sections for additional member info.  The photos tab  isolates photos in a slide-show type of viewer, displaying them as big, beautiful enlargements.  Each photo is labeled with a little icon.  You can send a note to a member about their pictures by clicking the icon located on any photo (nice little extra).  Other sites in this category do not feature anything like this technology.  This is the first we've seen and we're very impressed with the aesthetics and utility.  

Members' key profile points are presented in these layouts in such a way that you get a sense of a member's attitude and what they want from a relationship.   Another helpful tidbit is the member's last login date --  a good indicator of a member's activity / interest  level at the site.

We enjoyed our first go round here at EstablishedMen.com and that is a testament to the quality of navigation, layout and design.  The simplicity and intuitiveness make it a joy, with visuals and logic second to none. The members photos are great and, with that quality in mind, more members should post a pic (about a third don't).  Members without photos are at a significant disadvantage on any site, but it's magnified here due to the great photo handling gear in use.  

Most sites don't allow Guests or newcomers to contact members without a Premium membership. Inaccessibility will most likely result in waned interest in both the site and those prospects. Simply by posting a photo, Guests are allowed some contacts (how many is unclear).  Using photo posting as a condition for contact is a very clever way of engaging guests and members alike. 

A unique feature here is their Voice-mail option. Through an 866 number, a member can send  messages using mailbox numbers with access codes for identification, (good for safety / anonymity).  This personalizes communication and enhances ones chances of making an impression in a convenient way without risking safety or giving personal info. until ready.  A useful, great feature.

Technical superiority and user-friendliness puts EstablishedMen's site in a class by itself.  Their concept is remarkably smooth, intuitive and enjoyable.   We did find a couple of minor faults though.  They need to induce a larger portion of members to post photos, with roughly 65 percent posting photos, that's not up to par. Also, a little explanation outlining the exact benefits of a paying Premium membership for men would be nice.  It's mentioned in a bulleted list but we'd like to see that expanded upon.

We define value as getting a lot of benefits relative to costs. Female members don't pay here, so for them this site is obviously excellent value (just don't neglect to post photos ladies; the competition is).  This site is expensive for men -- roughly, twice the cost of the current leader in the field.  So does it deliver twice what the leader does?  In terms of a great user-friendly interface, (the best around), yes it does. In terms of offering a great site for Guests to (freely) discover for themselves if this is the place for them, the answer once again is: yes it does. Regarding the value for Premium (paying) male members, finding the best in suitable relationships: we don't know for sure so we can't offer a conclusive judgment on that.   The size, activity level and compatibility factors of the membership would have to be discovered first-hand to make that assessment. We consider it to be great value, based on its user-friendly technology, much of which is available for free as a Guest.

Our recommendation for the ladies is post a photo and go for it.  For men, perhaps exhaust your options as a Guest and let that experience be your guide in deciding whether or not to upgrade to Premium membership with its added perks.
