The first thing we notice about MillionaireCupid.com - other than the slick, easy design - is how thorough it is, with high importance set on verification. You can verify everything on your profile, from your millionaire status to your age; your occupation to your education. It allows for a little trust in the site. To become a certified millionaire on the site you need to send your tax return and a copy of your driver's license to the site owners. We would however advise anyone to act with caution when sending personal documents to any web site owner. To verify your age send a copy of your identification, such as a passport or drivers license. Verify your occupation by sending your business card or company letterhead and verify education by sending your certificates. We think all of this is a great screening process. Once you've completed your profile and verified your classifications there's more on the Your Account page, where you'll find everything you need. You're given a list of search tools, so you immediately know what you can look for at a glance. Then you're given profile stats, which tells you how many people have looked at your profile, who's emailed or winked at you and who you've blocked. You're allowed to invite friends and for this you get bonus points for a gold membership. You can also find out which of your friends are on the site. There's also an Other Tools section for more profile and billing options, email and wink settings, bonus gold membership points and dating advice and safety tips. We checked out the advice and found a truly phenomenal list of features, including Dating a Dad, Handling Gossip, I Hate his Friends, Is it Over?, More Meaningful Sex, My Sister Wants to Date my Ex and Who Says Image isn't Everything. It really is an enormously impressive list, but when we tried to view it we got a message about upgrading, so we're unable to comment on the quality of the articles. We ran a search to see how this feature worked and we liked the clean, sophisticated style of the search results design. There were also a lot of profiles retrieved, which gives us the impression that this is a busy site. You can decide how many profiles you view on one page and you can also order them by people you have already viewed or emailed. If you've lost someone's details or you want to compare your matches this is a great way to do it. We did find some verified millionaires on MillionaireCupid, these are highlighted in a different color and have a diamond next to their profile. There were a number of members listed as Preferred Members - this was in their status - but we're not sure where this status comes from. We can view the profiles of the preferred members, but when we click on the Preferred Member link text we are led to the upgrade page. Full profiles open in a new window and are plainly laid out in simple black and white text, separated into categories. You can send an email, wink or add the person to your favorites. Gold members can see when the user last logged in, how many people have viewed their profile and how many people have added them to their favorites. There are sections for the user to add free text about themselves and also say what they are looking for in a match. This is much better than only allowing standard selections from a list because you really get to see what's important to a person in their own words, rather than read between the lines. Most of the profiles we saw had profile pictures and the images were bright, clear and close up without distracting backgrounds. This adds to the general safe feel to this site, although we ask all users to be careful with personal information online. This is a completely clutter-free site. Obviously we couldn't see most of it - it's a millionaire site, so they expect you to pay for the privileged areas of the site, but the free areas we saw were very encouraging. Our advice is this: if Millionaire Cupid takes your interest, just cut out the middle man and join the parent site MillionaireMatch.com instead!
