Performing a Search on StrikeYourMatch: This is a personal matching service requiring application and an interview. Editor's Verdict: Strike Your Match is very wordy with every possible mention of wealthy hobbies and interests to try and get people signed up. Here are some examples of their flamboyant language: "Christmas in Aspen staying at Little Nell with VIP access to the Caribou Club? Easy! The ability to rent a Lamborghini at a moment's notice? Old hat! Chartering a 200 footer to Bimini with the girl of your dreams? Yawn... been there, done that! As a member of our private club this is a walk in the park. And, by the way, we don't just find her for you...we can help you find that diamond as well. And the 200-year-old church nestled in the highlands of Scotland, the chartered plane to get you and your guests there in style, the private castle, the flowers, the champagne, the feast, the dress, the make-up artist. No request is too great or too small. We are here to give you the greatest experience money can buy. " It certainly sounds like a great club to join, but we only have a few short testimonials online to prove it to us. We wanted to find out how you join StrikeYourMatch.com, so we signed up as a woman. We were asked our age, height, weight, ethnicity and a few other questions about our appearance. We were asked to complete an About You section. We submitted our entry and were asked to send "at least 2 photos, a head shot and a body shot" to the site owners, including our contact information via email. Considering we had submitted such a small amount of information, we were surprised to be told that we would be contacted when they had found a match for us. However, they went on to say "At that point, you We feel you're judged pretty much by looks alone - maybe also on the basis of how much and what you write about yourself.... but how - do they judge spelling and grammar? We feel the application process is perhaps a little vague, but the interview requirement is reassuring. We worked our way through the menu, which lists the various services, clubs and philosophies of StrikeYourMatch, but we were unable to get past the endless torrent of rhetoric to really get to the bottom of exactly what the details are. For example, when we tried to find out what you get as part of the Social Club, we were bombarded by more promises: "We do this to assure our members unparalleled, personal, one-on-one service. We offer the ability and time to seamlessly organize all of your requests from the very initial seed of inspiration to the grand finale. We recommend that if you're drawn in by the sweeping, grand claims of this site you apply and speak with the site owners personally at interview (if you're selected).
